MS in Applied Economics Admissions Timeline

A complete application must be received by Graduate Programs Office by the listed deadlines in order to be considered for the current entering class. Deadlines that fall on a weekend or holiday are extended to the next business day.

 

Application Deadlines

    Spring

    • December 1

    International applicants currently residing in their home country and requiring a new visa should submit a complete application no later than 11/15 to allow for visa processing. International applicants already in the US on an F1 visa can submit a complete application by the 12/1 deadline for consideration for the spring term.

    Fall

    • Round One: December 1
    • Round Two: March 1
    • Final: June 1

    International applicants currently residing in their home country and requiring a new visa should submit a complete application no later than 5/15 to allow for visa processing. International applicants already in the US on an F1 visa can submit a complete application by the 6/1 deadline for consideration for the fall term.

     

    Prerequisites

    Applicants with strong quantitative backgrounds who lack prerequisites of Intermediate Microeconomics and/or Intermediate Macroeconomics are encouraged to apply to the program. Opportunities exist to complete these prerequisites during the first term of graduate study alongside regular graduate-level courses. The prerequisite courses may not be counted towards the 30 credit hours required for the degree.

       

      Admission Requirements

       

      Enrollment Deposit

      All students must submit a tuition enrollment deposit when accepting the offer of admission to secure a place in the program ($500 for domestic students / $1,000 for international students). The deposit must be received by the specific deadline noted in the offer letter. The deposit will be applied to tuition. A student who does not matriculate forfeits the deposit.
