Entrepreneur Sanjay Shah ’89MBA Meets With MS Management Students
On his recent visit to the Lehigh campus, Entrepreneur Sanjay Shah ’89MBA met with MS Management students and reconnected with professors who had helped shape his future. In reminiscing about his Lehigh days, the studious Shah remembers finding “some nook and cranny” in the historic Linderman Library to study or a spot on the expansive lawn in front of University Center to spread out with his books. “It was very invigorating,” he says. “This is one of the prettiest campuses, and there’s something to be said for that, especially for someone who would never even have dreamt of being in a place like this, a learning environment like this. Regan Gallo, LU MBA, leads Professional Development Workshop for M2 Students- Taking Charge of Your Professional Destiny: Lessons for the First 90 Days
Regan Gallo, MBA alumna, Director of Operations for CertainTeed Roofing Products, and recently lauded by The Manufacturing Institute with Women in Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Ahead Award, delivered strategies for new professionals as they begin their careers. Advice was as simple as mapping out the route to work prior to the first day, to as crucial as developing your own performance review through goal setting and check-ins with your supervisor. She was joined later, by Franca DiPaola, Client Services Manager, Thomson Reuters, who moderated a panel discussion of young alumni. Read more.
M2 Students Serve on Panel for the Dean’s Advisory Council
Students, AJ Visconti, Thomas Farrell and Gregory Victorio shared their experiences in the M2 program with executives from the Dean’s Advisory Council on April 19. Each student indicated that the co-hort based model and personal attention provided a positive environment for learning. The diversity of each student’s undergraduate experience, the rigorous curriculum, and engaged faculty resulted in a tight-knit group of students that felt well-prepared for a professional career. Each of the panelists had already accepted a full-time position upon graduation.
Martin Guitar Visit
Students in Lehigh’s Masters in Management (M2) program got a lesson in the complex supply chain of America’s premier guitar manufacturer, C.F. Martin & Co., during a recent tour of the company’s headquarters in Nazareth. Read more.
