Undergraduate Accounting Major

B.S. in Business and Economics Accounting

Overview

The combination of a strong curriculum and talented students has earned Lehigh’s accounting program the designation, "key school" by recruiters. As a result, during the sophomore year professional firms provide on-site summer and winter leadership programs and externships to acquaint students with career opportunities. Many accounting students participate in well-paid internship programs in the summer after their sophomore year. Most Lehigh accounting students have internships in the summer after their junior year, and these internships typically lead to entry-level jobs upon graduation.

Career Opportunities for Accounting Majors

Lehigh’s accounting alumni hold leadership positions in a diverse array of careers including partners at international professional services firms, chief financial officers at major industrial firms, management consultants, financial analysts on Wall Street, attorneys and presidents of their own companies.
